OUR CLIENTS' JOURNEY

C’est Bon Restaurant Cairns

Nestled in the heart of Village Lane Cairns, C’est Bon Restaurant is the perfect marriage of French sophistication and local charm. With highly skilled chefs and friendly staff, C’est Bon Restaurant is the perfect choice for a business lunch or an intimate dining experience.

Like many small business owners, when Nicolas and Debbie first bought C’est Bon they had not previously run a business and needed an accountant to support and guide them. Their previous accountant set up their business structures and left them to figure out the rest.

From the outset it was clear that Nicolas and Debbie had a vision for what they wanted C’est Bon to become. While the business already enjoyed a good reputation with the locals, they finessed the food as only classically trained chefs could and quickly developed great relationships with their customers, staff and suppliers.

Having successfully navigated the first few years in business and created a solid foundation, Nicolas and Debbie were ready to take their business to the next level and asked VBA to help them achieve this.

We started this journey together by comparing the financial performance of the business with industry benchmarks, identifying where the business was currently at and areas that required their attention.

We then created a 12-month forecast of revenues and expenses, assets and liabilities and profit and cash flow to set performance targets for the business and agreed to meet on a quarterly basis to review and discuss.

From its humble beginnings in 2011, C’est Bon has doubled in size and created a strong foundation for growth and expansion.

As they prepare to open for breakfast and extend their trading hours, C’est Bon Restaurant is planning for a great 2019 and beyond.

We wish them all the very best and look forward to being part of their continued growth and success.
